PUSD will hold a public hearing on the 2025–2026 budget and LCAP overview on June 12, 2025. Community members can review the budget starting June 9 and are encouraged to attend.
Porterville Unified School District and CSEA Chapter #38 have reached a tentative agreement for the 2025-26 school year, including salary increases, professional development incentives, and continued enhanced health benefits. The agreement reflects a balanced compensation and fiscal responsibility approach and awaits member ratification, county review, and final board approval in June.
We want to share an update on the current status of labor negotiations. A formal declaration of impasse has been made—an official step in the bargaining process when significant differences remain. While this is part of the normal process, we remain open to continued dialogue and are committed to working toward a collaborative resolution.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Porterville Unified School District will hold a public hearing, pursuant to Education Code section 60119, regarding the sufficiency of textbooks and instructional materials in order to be eligible to receive funds available for textbooks or instructional materials from any state source. Parents/guardians, teachers, members of the community and bargaining unit leaders are encouraged to participate.
